Research into what constitutes Aboriginal identity has won this year's Stanner Prize.

 

The award is open to Indigenous academics and authors for work in the area of Australian Indigenous studies.

 

The winning manuscript by Doctor Bronwyn Carlson from the University of Wollongong examines the complexities surrounding Aboriginal identity.

 

Dr Carlson explained to Ildi Amon what her research has uncovered.
