PUP will repeal every LNP law: Palmer

Mining magnate Clive Palmer says the Queensland arm of the Palmer United Party would repeal every act set by the LNP government if it is elected.

Clive Palmer has sworn the Queensland branch of his party will scrub out every law passed by the LNP if it is elected on January 31.

Speaking to reporters on the Gold Coast on Tuesday, Mr Palmer condemned the policies of the state government, saying it had failed Queenslanders.

He urged voters to send the premier a message at the polls.

"This is the moment. This is the time when Queenslanders can send a message ... get rid of Campbell Newman," he said.

Mr Palmer threw his weight behind Queensland Palmer United Party leader John Bjelke-Petersen, saying he was at the helm of a "viable alternative" to the major parties.

He said PUP would immediately rid the state of all LNP policies if elected.

"We will repeal every single act that was set by the Newman government to set the slate clean," he said.
