Q&A Twitter stream, panel under microscope

The terms of reference for the review into Q&A have been released and the ABC program's Twitter stream will be under the spotlight.

The Twitter stream of controversial ABC program Q&A will be scrutinised by a board-commissioned review.

Veteran TV journalist Ray Martin and former SBS managing director Shaun Brown are investigating 23 episodes of the show and are expected to report back to the ABC board in three months.

They're being asked to check whether the panel composition unduly favours one view over another, the behaviour and responses of audiences, and if the Twitter stream running with the show helps or hinders the program, the inquiry's terms of reference released on Thursday show.
