Qantas gains another pyjama fan

Robbie Williams has joined former foreign minister Bob Carr as another apparent fan of Qantas pyjamas.

It seems that former foreign minister Bob Carr isn't the only high profile fan of Qantas pyjamas.

The airline's courtesy first class PJs also appear to be a big hit with rock star Robbie Williams, according to country singer Keith Urban.

Urban says Williams liked the pyjamas so much that he got off in them - off the plane that is.

Urban, a regular flyer, was promoting an upcoming tour on Nine's Today program on Monday when he got talking about the pyjamas the airline offers its first class customers.

"I was on the plane one time with Robbie Williams ... this was a few years back ... I think Robbie was so taken by the jammies he got off in them," Urban told the Nine Network.

"He got off the plane, yes," Urban quickly clarified.

"Well he probably did both, you know," he added.

Qantas pyjamas became a talking point last week, when Carr complained about the indignities of business class travel in his newly published Diary of a Foreign Minister.

"Business class. No edible food. No airline pyjamas. I lie in my tailored suit," Carr wrote.

Qantas says all first class customers receive a 100 per cent cotton jersey two-piece charcoal grey coloured sleeper suit, branded with a black embroidered kangaroo.

"Each sleeper suit is tied with a black satin ribbon with a pair of slippers and a pair of black socks," it says on its website.
