Passenger numbers are on the rise at Qantas, with a solid increase in overseas travellers.
The flying kangaroo lifted total passenger numbers by 2.1 per cent during July.
Driving the result was a 5.3 per cent rise in Qantas international passenger numbers compared to a year earlier, while budget subsidiary Jetstar's overseas services enjoyed a 2.4 per cent increase.
However, passenger growth was weaker for Qantas' domestic services, up by just 0.8 per cent.
Jetstar domestic passengers rose 4.4 per cent.
"Qantas domestic capacity was marginally lower in the month, with growth on east coast routes offset by adjustments to address resource market softness in Western Australia and Queensland," Qantas said on Tuesday.
