Qld bikie arrested over death threats

Queensland police have arrested a suspected Renegades bikie who they say made death threats against another man.

A bikie has been accused of threatening to kill a man who helped police in southeast Queensland.

Officers from anti-bikie Taskforce Maxima arrested a 43-year-old man they say is a Renegades bikie gang member in Logan on Tuesday night.

Police say the bikie made death threats to a Daisy Hill man because he thought he was a police informer.

Detective Inspector Brendan Smith said the incident showed community members were taking a stand against bikie intimidation tactics and that new laws were making it harder for gangs to intimidate their victims and witnesses.
