Police searching for drugs on a central Queensland property say they've also found a cache of homemade explosives.

They executed a search warrant on Wednesday at a property in Agnes Water, south of Gladstone, where they allegedly found cannabis plants and drug paraphernalia.

But police say they came across several homemade explosive devices as well.

A 37-year-old man has been charged with producing and possessing dangerous drugs, possessing drug paraphernalia, possessing explosives and storing explosives.

He'll appear in Gladstone Magistrates Court on October 28.
