Qld drink-driver nabbed twice in two hours

A Townsville man has been caught drink driving, without a licence, in an unregistered car twice in the space of a couple of hours.

A Townsville man has been nabbed for drinking driving without a licence, in a car that wasn't registered, twice in just over two hours.

Officers breath-tested the 37-year-old in the town of Ayr at 7.20pm on Wednesday, and found he was over the limit. He was charged with drink driving, unlicensed driving and driving an unregistered vehicle.

At 10pm, police spotted the same man driving at nearby Home Hill, and a second test showed he was still over the limit, resulting in a second set of identical charges. He's been ordered to front court next month.
