Queensland Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has trumpeted her success in holding onto the state's current share of the GST.

"I've come down here, I've put my case, and Queensland has come out on top," she said.

The premier also secured an NDIS trial site at the Council of Australian Governments meeting in Canberra on Friday.

She has made clear to the federal government she wants more money collected under the higher Medicare levy to flow back to her state as well.

But Ms Palaszczuk is already gearing up for another battle over national partnership agreements on health and education funding at the COAG retreat in July.

"We need to have a very serious discussion with Commonwealth about how do we address these long term funding issues," the premier said.

"We know that they're going to economic growth, we know that the cost of services are going to increase, but I don't want to see any drop in service delivery."

Ms Palaszczuk thumbed her nose at the state opposition for criticising her credibility to argue Queensland's case in Canberra earlier this week.

"The opposition speaks for themselves, in the past we haven't seen them stand up for Queensland," she added.
