Qld man, 70, on child porn charges

A 70-year-old Queensland man is facing 54 child exploitation charges over images found on a computer, the Crime and Misconduct Commission says.

A 70-year-old Queensland man allegedly caught with images of child pornography on his computer is facing more than 50 charges.

The man was arrested and his computer was seized during a raid at his North Lakes home on Friday, which followed a four-month investigation by the Crime and Misconduct Commission.

He faces one charge of possessing child exploitative material, two of using a carriage service to make available child pornography and 51 of using a carriage to transmit child pornography.

He was granted conditional bail after appearing in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Saturday and is due to reappear on March 14.
