A man will face court on Tuesday charged with the brutal murder of a pregnant woman at a Gold Coast home.
The 34-year-old Surfers Paradise man is accused of killing the woman during a bloody domestic dispute at Varsity Lakes on Monday afternoon.
The woman was reportedly attacked with an axe but police have not confirmed that.
Police and ambulance officers called to the home found the woman with horrific head injuries. She was rushed to the Gold Coast Hospital but the woman, who was in the early stages of pregnancy, died soon afterwards.
The man will face the Southport Magistrates Court on Tuesday morning.
