A Queensland man who was in Byron Bay for the Falls Music and Arts Festival has been found dead at a campsite.

A Brisbane man has died at the annual Falls Music and Arts Festival in the northern NSW coastal town of Byron Bay.

The man, aged in his 20s, was found dead at a campsite near the festival about 7.30am on Wednesday.

NSW police are treating his death as "non-suspicious" but have declined to say what the cause of his death was until an autopsy is conducted.

A number of witnesses are being interviewed.

The music festival will continue as planned until Saturday.
