A Queensland man has been extradited to NSW to face a raft of historic child sexual assault charges.

The 52-year-old is accused of abusing three children between the ages of six and nine between 1997 and 1999, and faces charges including six of sexual intercourse with a person under the age of 10.

An investigation was launched this year after two women and a man complained to police.

The man was arrested by Queensland Police at his home in Mountain Creek on Thursday, and his extradition to NSW was later granted.

He has been refused bail, and is due to appear at Parramatta Bail Court on Saturday.
