Qld man in court over kitten cruelty

A Queensland man has appeared in court charged with serious cruelty to animals after he allegedly used live kittens as greyhound bait.

A man has appeared in a Queensland court over allegations he was involved in using live kittens as bait for greyhounds.

Coominya man Steven James Boody, 62, had his case adjourned until next month when he appeared in the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Thursday charged with two counts of serious animal cruelty.

Boody and a 26-year-old man were charged last week by a joint RSPCA and Queensland Police taskforce investigating live baiting in the greyhound racing industry.
