Queensland's opposition has renewed its attack on embattled Police Minister Jo-Ann Miller, urging Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk to discipline her.
Ms Miller's latest controversy involves her reportedly last year urging Ipswich's Deputy Mayor Victor Attwood to overthrow Mayor Paul Pisasale, telling him the mayor would "end up in jail".
"I think the time has come for this premier to act against this police minister and the latest revelations today against a very, very well respected public official is the last straw," Opposition Leader Lawrence Springborg told parliament on Friday.
When Ms Miller reportedly had the conversation, Mr Pisasale was being investigated by the Crime and Corruption Commission (CCC) - he was later cleared of wrongdoing - and she was the deputy chair of the Parliamentary Crime and Corruption Commission.
Ms Miller has denied the conversation took place at all, despite Mr Attwood and Mr Pisasale signing sworn affidavits about the incident, the Queensland Times reports.
"We have a police minister that is constantly bumbling, that is stumbling, that is becoming a cloud over the Palaszczuk administration in Queensland," Mr Springborg said.
Ms Miller has come under fire over a string of bungles, including allegedly leaving documents about CCC investigations and the password to a secure online portal in a safe handed to opposition MP Ann Leahy.
She's also copped flak over Police Commissioner Ian Stewart's early announcement of the relocation of Ipswich's police communications centre, which the government later put on hold to allow time for consultation.
Ms Miller also had to apologise for an "error of judgment" in ringing a man who made allegations of forgery and harassment against first-term Labor MP Rick Williams.
