Qld woman denied bail over toddler snatch

A 21-year-old woman accused of abducting a two-year-old girl was denied bail by a Queensland court, while her alleged accomplice was released.

A Queensland woman accused of abducting a toddler will remain behind bars after she was denied bail.

The 21-year-old was remanded in custody at the Ipswich Magistrates Court on Monday.

She and a 42-year-old man have been charged with abducting a two-year-old girl from an Ipswich home.

The man was granted bail when he appeared in the same court.

The toddler was taken from her father's Willowbank house on Saturday night.

She was found safe and well at Archerfield in Brisbane the following evening.

The man and women have been charged with abducting a child under the age of 16, burglary and committing an indictable offence.

Their cases were adjourned until May 26.
