Qld woman 'punched and bitten after theft'

A Queensland woman is in hospital with a suspected broken nose after she was punched, kicked and bitten at an adult store in the state's southeast.

A 60-year-old woman has been punched, kicked and bitten after confronting another woman about a theft at an adult store in Queensland's southeast.

Police say the victim approached a 33-year-old woman at the Ipswich store on Friday evening to talk to her about an earlier theft at a separate business.

The younger woman allegedly kicked, punched and bit the older woman on the left arm before running from the store.

She was stopped outside by two men and police later charged her with stealing and serious assault offences.

The 60-year-old woman was taken to Ipswich General Hospital with a suspected broken nose and facial injuries.

Her alleged attacker is due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court on Friday.
