A woman who allegedly tried to kill two children in a house fire north of Brisbane will apply for bail on Monday.

The 58-year-old woman, who cannot be identified, is facing four counts of attempted murder involving the two boys, aged nine and 11.

It's alleged the brothers were deliberately trapped in a fire at Morayfield, north of Brisbane, in early 2014.

They escaped the fire, but one suffered burns to his legs.

The woman has been charged with two counts of attempted murder and one of attempted arson in relation to the blaze, and also faces two additional attempted murder charges stemming from other alleged incidents.

Police allege she tried to kill one of the boys on two separate occasions, but they have not provided details of the other incidents.

She also faces a charge of interfering with a corpse in relation to the death of a seven-month-old baby from the same family.

The woman will appear in the Maroochydore Magistrates Court.
