Queensland has claimed a 110-run win over Victoria with a full day to spare in their pink-ball Sheffield Shield clash at the Gabba.
Inspired by a century from captain Usman Khawaja and assisted by a tricky green-tinged pitch, the Bulls bowled the visitors out for 219 on Saturday evening.
The Bushrangers had mounted a stubborn resistance after losing their first five wickets for just 77 runs.
For a while it looked as if they had wrested the momentum thanks to crucial knocks from skipper Peter Handscomb (34), Dan Christian (39) and Chris Tremain (47) in a nail-biting final session under lights.
But Handscomb and Christian were dismissed lbw - by Michael Neser and Jack Wildermuth, respectively - as Queensland broke up the two key partnerships and exposed a vulnerable tail.
Debutant Brendan Doggett removed Tremain, the final obstacle, who holed out to Luke Feldman at midwicket.
Wildermuth led the way with 4-41 off 15 overs, with five maidens, but it was Neser who helped bring about the top-order collapse in the afternoon.
He clean-bowled opener Travis Dean (28) then did brilliantly to track and then catch a lofted pull shot at fine leg from first drop Glenn Maxwell (20) off Wildermuth's bowling.
It was Maxwell's second middling score of the match after he notched just seven runs in the first innings, which failed to advance his claims for the No.6 batting spot for next month's first Ashes Test in Brisbane.
Neser then claimed Aaron Finch for a golden duck and finished with figures of 3-47 off 15 overs, including four maidens.
Earlier, Khawaja hit a single off the first ball he faced to bring up his 21st first-class century as Queensland were bowled out for 311.
He was stranded on 99 not out overnight but finished on 122 runs and was the last man dismissed for the Bulls.
The 30-year-old left-hander tried to reverse sweep Fawad Ahmed but nicked the ball to Handscomb at first slip, who did well to juggle it and secure a difficult catch.
Khawaja hit 16 boundaries in his five-hour innings after also top-scoring in Queensland's first dig with 40, and was probably the the only player in the Ashes selection mix involved in the match to come away with an enhanced reputation.
