Luke Pomersbach put his former state to the sword on Saturday hitting an unbeaten century to give Queensland first-innings points in their Sheffield Shield match against Western Australia at the WACA Ground.
Pomersbach is playing his first match of the season for Queensland in any form of cricket and has scored his first Shield century for the Bulls to be 137 not out at stumps.
The Warriors fought to make 254 in their first innings after crumbling to 5-47 on the opening day thanks to 96 from Mitch Marsh and 61 from Sam Whiteman in a sixth-wicket partnership of 151, but the Bulls' batsmen have looked untroubled in almost 75 overs at the crease.
WA were always up against it when deciding to bat first despite rain delaying play by three hours on Friday and constant interruptions over the next day-and-a-half.
And with the weather clearing, Queensland have the best batting conditions of the match at their disposal and are taking full advantage.
At stumps on day two, Queensland were 3-255 with Pomersbach to resume with nightwatchman Nathan Hauritz who was yet to score.
Day two began with WA 5-156 with Marsh and Whiteman continuing to fight hard despite two rain delays in the morning session.
Whiteman ended up falling for 61 and then Marsh on 96 as he became a little edgy heading towards his second Shield century, but the pair still did well to save WA from a horror first-innings score.
Luke Feldman was the star with the ball for Queensland taking 4-58 while Ben Cutting and Michael Neser took two wickets each.
Queensland's batsmen looked at ease from the outset, though, even though Nathan Reardon fell for 21 to a screamer of a catch from Mitch Marsh off Michael Hogan.
Reardon had earlier been dropped on 19 by Adam Voges off Nathan Coulter-Nile, and then Voges also put down Usman Khawaja in the only chance provided in a 142-run second-wicket partnership between him and Pomersbach.
Just after Pomersbach brought up his fourth Shield century, Khawaja was run out when on 64 after looking destined for a century.
Chris Lynn and Pomersbach then comfortably put on another 62 runs until Lynn was out lbw to Ashton Agar for 28 just before stumps.
WA will be without Marcus North for the rest of the match after the death of his older brother Lucas on Friday. The former Test batsman was replaced in the team by Luke Towers.
