Quebec football suspended for turban ban

There's been outrage among football teams in Quebec after the Canadian province's football federation was suspended after refusing to reverse its ban on players wearing turbans.

The Canadian Soccer Association has suspended the Quebec Soccer Federation for its refusal to comply with a national ruling that allows players to wear turbans and other types of headwear, including patkas and keski.

 

The ruling was applied everywhere in Canada - except in Quebec.
