Playing in Queensland no longer holds the fears it once did for NSW, Blues winger Brett Morris has declared ahead of State of Origin III.
Morris was instrumental in the Blues' epic triumph in game one last year that paved the way for the Blues' drought-breaking series win.
NSW travel to Queensland on Sunday, ahead of Wednesday's game three at Suncorp Stadium where the Blues have not won an Origin decider since 2005.
But Morris says the Blues take tremendous confidence from that Brisbane Origin I encounter last year.
"It is a task, but it is a task that we are very excited about," Morris said at the Blues' Coffs Harbour base on Thursday.
"We went up there for game one last year, it was the 100th game, it was a big game up there and we won that. I think that gave us a lot of confidence going up there and knowing we can win big games up at Suncorp.
"We have a young enthusiastic group that are exciting about playing up there."
Incredible defensive efforts from Morris and twin brother Josh, who both played through injuries to finish game one last year, have been a trademark of NSW's performances ever since.
"I have flashbacks about the win up there I think it was one of the greatest wins I have ever been involved with, there are certainly some happy memories," Brett Morris said.
"Everyone enjoys playing up there. The result last year shows we can win up there and it brings excitement, you always know you are going to get a full house up there and a lot of fans against you.
"That is something we can't control but that is something we are going to enjoy."
A win at Suncorp Stadium would be a crowning achievement for Blues' five-eighth Mitchell Pearce's, given his struggles at Origin level early in his career.
"I can't wait to get up there and give it the best crack we can," Pearce said.
"I'm really confident we have the team and the game to beat them up there, it would be a special feeling for sure."
