The Pentagon has released documents showing US service members accused of sex crimes while posted in Japan are rarely found guilty and few do any prison time.
The documents show about 15 per cent are sent to prison and say alleged victims have stopped talking to authorities as they do not believe the perpertrators will be prosecuted.
Washington correspondent John Stempin told Ron Sutton, the Americans are under pressure for their record in Okinawa Island in particular.
