Greg Inglis is tipping Canberra coach Ricky Stuart to have the resurgent Raiders pumped to the eyeballs to knock off the NRL premiers on Sunday.
Already upset at being snubbed from Saturday's bumper Anzac Day program, the Raiders take on stuttering South Sydney in tropical Cairns brimming with belief following the biggest comeback win in the club's decorated 33-year history.
Trailing 22-0 at after just 25 minutes against Wests Tigers, the Raiders piled on 30 unanswered points at Leichhardt to continue their unpredictable and topsy-turvy opening to 2015.
"They're just a dangerous side. We've got to be ready to turn up and play," Inglis said.
"They turn up and play each and every week and, knowing 'Sticky' (Stuart), they'll be up their early getting their preparation right."
Hooker Josh Hodgson believes Canberra's historic victory has heightened the side's confidence as they chase back-to-back wins for the first time this season.
"It was a fantastic win for us and certainly morale boosting for us in terms of the belief and the determination that we've got," Hodgson said.
"We've taken a lot away from the win, but at the same time we're not getting too carried away because Souths will be tough to beat and we've still got plenty to improve on."
Like the Raiders, the Rabbitohs have made an inconsistent start to their season, dropping three of their past four games, including losses to North Queensland and Cronulla in successive weeks.
"We're training well but that's where it's been left - on the training field," Inglis said.
"We haven't been bringing it on game day. You know teams are going to be playing their best footy against us.
"Obviously travelling up there, we've got to put in a good 80-minute performance and not leave it on the training paddock."
The Souths skipper said backing up from Monday's monsoon-like conditions at Shark Park shouldn't pose any problems, or present any excuses for another lacklustre performance.
"Our medical staff make sure they give us the right days off on our legs and make sure the boys have the right prep and are ready to go," Inglis said.
"We've got a great high performance unit here."
