Rain delays Aussies' Ashes tour game

The first day of Australia's tour game against Northants has been delayed due to heavy rain.

Heavy rain has delayed the start of Australia's three-day tour game in Northampton.

Play was due to start at 8pm AEST on Friday but the covers were firmly in place.

The tourists are yet to leave their hotel and there is a very good chance the day will be washed out.

The fifth and final Ashes Test starts on Thursday at the Oval, which will be outgoing captain Michael Clarke's swansong.

Australia have already relinquished the urn, with England having taken an unassailable 3-1 lead in the series.
