No play was possible before lunch on the fourth day of the second Test between South Africa and the West Indies at St George's Park on Monday because of rain and a wet outfield.

With most of the second day having been washed out, the chances of a result were receding rapidly, although the weather appeared to be clearing and the covers were removed.

The West Indies finished the third day on 2-144 in reply to South Africa's 8-(dec)417.
