Rain forces Aust v NZ postponement

The Oceania Cup men's hockey match between NZ and Australia has been postponed until Friday after torrential rain flooded Stratford's artificial turf.

Torrential rain has forced the postponement of the Oceania Cup men's hockey match between New Zealand and Australia in Stratford.

With the artificial turf completely flooded, officials made the call to reschedule the match between world No.2 Australia and the fifth-ranked Black Sticks at 11am on Friday.

In the earlier game, New Zealand women's team overwhelmed Papua New Guinea 25-0, adding to the 3-2 win they scored over Australia on Wednesday.
