Rain hits Ranchi during India runchase

Rain has again stopped play in the Ranchi ODI, with India 0-27 chasing Australia's target of 296 in the fourth one-day match of the series.

Rain has again stopped play in the fourth one-day match between India and Australia, early into the hosts innings at Ranchi on Wednesday.

India are 0-27 after 4.1 overs, with Shikhar Dhawan on 14 and Rohit Sharma on nine chasing a target of 296 which would level the seven-match series at two wins each.

Earlier, a light shower halted play for 30 minutes in the eighth over before Australia posted 8-295 thanks to impressive half-centuries to George Bailey (98) and Glenn Maxwell (92).

Holding onto a 2-1 lead in the series, Australia were sent in to bat after India skipper MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to field in Ranchi on Sunday.
