Random attack at Melbourne train station

Two people have suffered minor injuries in a random attack at a busy Melbourne train station.

A man and a woman in their 50s have been punched in the face in a random attack at a busy Melbourne train station.

They were assaulted outside the barriers at Flinders Street Railway Station just before 6am on Tuesday.

A 33-year-old Avondale Heights man has been arrested over the attack and is being interviewed by police.
