The former NSW halfback revealed his cancer diagnosis during the Blues' victorious State of Origin campaign early this year.

Western Suburbs Magpies chairman Michael Liubinskas said Raudonikis had revealed heartening news from his doctors after undergoing treatment over the last few months.

"It has been a bit of a private thing for Tommy, but I know he was recently given the all clear and has just one more appointment to go," Liubinskas told AAP.

"He didn't really talk too much about it, he is a bit blase about it all.

"He just said he had beaten it, which is great to hear.

"His voice was gravelly before ... it is even more gravelly but it should get better."

Raudonikis played 239 first grade games for Wests and Newtown over a 15-year career.

He played 24 games for NSW and 20 for Australia.

The 64-year-old, who now resides in Queensland, coached the Magpies for five seasons between 1995 and 1999 and coached NSW in 1997 and 1998.

He was awarded an Awarded an Order of Australian Merit in 1982.
