The Triple Eight V8 Supercars triple threat comes to life on Saturday at the Clipsal 500, but neither drivers nor team boss Roland Dane is predicting sparks to fly.
Shane Van Gisbergen will debut for Red Bull Racing around the Adelaide street circuit, joining Jamie Whincup and Craig Lowndes under the Triple Eight umbrella for the first time.
On paper, it's a move that will only strengthen the already untouchable team.
Whincup, six-time series champion, and Lowndes, who hasn't finished outside the top four at season's end for 11 campaigns, should surely be boosted by the arrival of the next-gen Kiwi known for this aggressive style, who was runner up in 2014.
But could it upset the apple cart?
The newcomer doesn't think so.
"It's been awesome so far. From a drivers' point of view there are no issues," Van Gisbergen told AAP.
"At Red Bull I've got a lot of people to bounce ideas off which is what I haven't had.
"We'll just see what happens but everything's all good right now."
He said he didn't feel like there was a pecking order in the team, and he was comfortable with the instructions from team chief Roland Dane.
"We've got instructions for racing; race as hard as we can but be fair," he said.
"That's what its all about."
Dane told motorsport website Speedcafe that Whincup and Van Gisbergen "will both know when to hold and when to fold".
"We will manage it. We are not frightened by it and neither are they. I expect them to race hard and fair."
The sport's dominant pit lane figure knows he will need to keep a watching brief on his drivers, just as he's done with Whincup and Lowndes over the past decade.
"Jamie and Craig have fought over positions for years (and) they have had one run-in in a decade ... one incident in 300-and-something races," he said.
"Every so often I'm sure we will have to make sure they understand when they have got to win and when they can't win.
"(Shane and Jamie) are big boys and they know how to race."
