Reds mulling Cooper replacements

The Queensland Reds may be forced to use a foreign slot next year on a new five-eighth if Quade Cooper moves to France as expected.

Cooper is set to return from injury this weekend and has just three Super Rugby games left before his current Reds contract expires, with a big-money move to Toulon now a done deal according to weekend reports.

Coach Richard Graham on Monday could provide no further update on negotiations with the mercurial Wallabies No.10, but said the Reds may look overseas for a replacement if they can't convince Cooper to stay.

Their other option is youngster Jake McIntyre, who impressed in his first two Super Rugby games at five-eighth and is expected to drop to the bench for Saturday's clash with the Western Force to make way for Cooper.
