Reed, Maranta out for Broncos

Brisbane coach Wayne Bennett has reshuffled his backline for Saturday night's NRL clash with Sydney Roosters that may decide the minor premiership.

Brisbane centre Jack Reed has been ruled out Saturday night's NRL blockbuster with the Sydney Roosters while Corey Oates has been preferred on the wing.

Dale Copley slots into the centres for the injured Reed (shoulder) while the lanky Oates replaces Lachlan Maranta on the wing in a match that may decide the minor premiership.

Broncos coach Wayne Bennett said Reed was expected back next round.

"It's just a rotation thing. Corey needs to play a game," Bennett said of Oates who will play his 50th NRL game at just 20.
