NRL referees boss Tony Archer insists he'll have no issues with Trent Barrett and Shane Flanagan next season, after the pair were fined for criticising officials.
The NRL is expected to announce their final findings for breach notice against Manly and Cronulla this week, after they were provisionally been fined $20,000 and $30,000 respectively for comments made by their coaches after their finals exits.
Both clubs have attempted to have their fine either reduced or abolished, after Sharks coach Flanagan issued an apology on the club's website last week.
And Archer said he had accepted that response from Flanagan and had no issue moving forward with either he or Barrett.
"The apology has been given. He made that stance. I communicate with coaches regularly and I will continue to do that," Archer said.
"I sent him the (match) report relating to the decisions. Some I agree with, some I didn't agree with. That's the kind of relationship we have
"It's a working relationship and we come from different points of view sometimes but we certainly have a professional relationship and that will continue."
Referees' performances have remained out of the spotlight over the past two weeks of the finals, after NRL chief executive Todd Greenberg told the game it had to "grow up" in a line-in-the-sand speech following the coaches outbursts.
Archer backed Greenberg's stance as he admitted the search for young referees was tough.
"I think it was important for the game to draw a line in the sand, and we did that," Archer said.
"Referees will accept criticism when it's fair and just, and we will take that on board.
"But we need to understand that simply being critical of the referees for the job they are doing, it needs to be accurate."
