Reshuffle on hold for Truss: Sinodinos

A pre-election cabinet reshuffle can wait until Nationals Leader Warren Truss confirms he is retiring in the next month or so: Senator Arthur Sinodinos.

Cabinet Secretary Arthur Sinodinos expects a pre-election cabinet reshuffle can wait until Nationals Leader Warren Truss confirms his retirement.

Two ministers - Jamie Briggs and Mal Brough - stepped down from cabinet during the summer recess, but Senator Sinodinos believes a reshuffle can wait until Mr Truss confirms his flagged retirement "in the next month or so".

"That would be the sensible time to do it," he told Sky News on Sunday.
