Retail spending rose 0.5% in Oct

The Australian Bureau of Statistics has released retail trade data for October.

Australian retail spending rose 0.5 per cent in October, official figures show.

Total retail spending was $22.285 billion in October, up from $22.180 billion in September, the Australian Bureau of Statistics said on Tuesday.

Economists had been forecasting a rise of 0.4 per cent for October.
