Retallick signs for Rebels in Super Rugby

New Zealander Culum Retallick has signed a two-year Super Rugby deal to join the Melbourne Rebels.

The Melbourne Rebels have signed their second New Zealand forward in as many days, with lock Culum Retallick switching from the Blues on a two-year deal.

Retallick has made nearly 50 Super Rugby appearances since debuting for the Chiefs in 2010.

He has also played for the Blues and Highlanders.

"I always look forward to new challenges and experiences with a new team, and also moving my family for the first time outside of New Zealand," he said.

"Over the last couple of years, there seems to be a shift in the way the Rebels are playing."

The Rebels announced on Monday they had signed former All Blacks back-rower Adam Thomson from the Queensland Reds.

Thomson and Retallick had previously played together with the Highlanders.
