A new survey of 1000 baby boomers shows most older Australians still don't have enough superannuation to enjoy a comfortable retirement.
The latest estimate of the peak industry's body is that a couple needs a combined super balance of $510,000 while an individual needs around $430,000.
"Across the baby boomers, one in four still had an account balance less than $50,000" , says Damian Hill, Chief Executive of REST Industry Super.
"Nothing's really improved from the point of view of preparedness. But what has changed, and pleasingly, is that more of them are now prepared to seek financial advice to help them."
Those surveyed cited "policy uncertainty" as their biggest concern - ahead of separate reviews into Australia's tax and financial services systems.
