Revenge will be the last thing on North Queensland's mind when they line up against NRL round-three conquerors Brisbane on Friday night, coach Paul Green says.
Not that the Broncos will be let off lightly in what looms as a historic night in Townsville for the Cowboys.
Green said the gameplan would be to show exactly what they are capable of as they look to celebrate their 200th victory with a club record seventh straight win.
The Cowboys were humbled 44-22 in round three in Brisbane.
How times have changed.
North Queensland have not lost since, powering to fourth on the NRL ladder to set the stage for a blockbuster against leaders Brisbane.
Green admitted the high ladder position of both teams may lead to extra feeling in a traditionally explosive derby.
"There's possibly a bit more to play for maybe," Green said.
"They are two points head of us on the ladder so a win would be nice and it's a big night for the club.
"Hopefully we put on a good display."
But Green scoffed at the suggestion North Queensland would be out for blood after their 22-point loss six weeks ago.
"It's not about us owing them one or paying them back," he said.
"It's more about showing what sort of team we are.
"I don't feel we did that on that night in particular.
"We were probably just trying to find a bit of confidence as a team back then.
"I was a bit disappointed how we played that night.
"I know the boys were too. This is a chance to show what we are capable of doing."
Either way a special week looms for North Queensland.
Celebrating their 20th anniversary season, North Queensland will wear their 2015 Heritage strip featuring the names of every Cowboy to play NRL from 1995 on Friday night.
And on Saturday night the Cowboys will hold an anniversary dinner which will reunite former players, name their 20-year team and launch their Hall of Fame with inaugural inductees.
