Little-known Irish actor Jack Reynor is on the cusp of landing a third massive role after his name was linked to the latest Star Wars epic.

With less than 10 feature films to his name, the 22-year-old has scored a role in the fourth Transformers movie and director Justin Kurzel's ambitious new adaptation of William Shakespeare's Macbeth - and is reportedly in the sights of J.J. Abrams for a leading role in Star Wars: Episode VII.

Multiple sources have told movie news website aintitcool.com that Reynor has held talks with the team behind the sci-fi blockbuster.

He joins a long list of famous names linked to the film, including Brits Benedict Cumberbatch, Judi Dench and Gary Oldman, while Saoirse Ronan and Michael B. Jordan have both confirmed they have auditioned for roles.
