New international lowcost carrier Scoot, has named Sydney as one of its first destinations.

It's expected to fly the Sydney to Singapore route from June next year, targeting youth, adventurous and budget conscious flyers.

It's another example of how the airline industry is shifting to a low cost environment, and how Qantas is trying to change, to meet the demands of the public, including the shift to Asia.
