Australia's Daniel Ricciardo will head to the Singapore grand prix full of confidence after coming from 16th on the grid to finish fourth in Italy, where Lewis Hamilton claimed victory.
"I think we'll lap the field in Singapore, so looking forward to that," Ricciardo told reporters on Sunday.
Ricciardo qualified third in Monza but conceded an engine-related grid penalty.
Despite falling short of a podium finish, the 28-year-old continues to get the best out of his slower Red Bull thanks to precise overtaking.
Ferrari veteran Kimi Raikkonen was one of the victims of Ricciardo's smooth Monza moves and was relegated to fifth.
With 12 laps remaining after blitzing through the field, Ricciardo overtook Raikkonen on the inside at turn one.
"I'll give him (Raikkonen) the credit and say he raced clean and fair, but I would have done it on anyone, to be honest," Ricciardo said.
"I think especially when you come through the field with all that momentum, it doesn't matter who you're coming up against.
"I was aware the deeper I got towards the front, the harder the overtake would be because normally they're going quicker.
"It was fun. Definitely had some really good overtakes."
Hamilton maintained his lead from pole position to win and go top of the Formula One championship standings for the first time this season, winning ahead of Mercedes teammate Valtteri Bottas.
Ferrari's Sebastian Vettel relinquished the title lead but recovered from eighth place on the grid to finish third.
"We were closing down the podium," Ricciardo said.
"At one stage, we were catching Seb (Vettel) about a second a lap - 1.1 - and at that rate we would have caught him by the last lap.
"But I think then he was able to turn it up a bit and I was using every bit of my tyre I could."
The fourth-placing is Ricciardo's best Italian grand prix result.
Three-time world champion Hamilton claimed his sixth win of the season. The Britain was untroubled from the front of the grid and has now won four times at Monza.
He goes from a seven-point deficit behind Vettel in the standings to a three-point lead, with the series now moving to Singapore in two weeks and a circuit expected to favour the Ferraris.
