Sydney fullback Ted Richards will miss Sunday's AFL season-shaping clash with West Coast in Perth after accepting a one-match ban for his high bump on Hawthorn's Sam Mitchell.
Richards risked being hit with a two-game sanction had he unsuccessfully challenged the rough conduct charge, which was assessed as careless conduct with medium impact to Mitchell's head.
The 32-year-old Richards will be sorely missed by the slumping Swans against West Coast, who possess the second-most potent attack in the AFL this year.
The Swans risk dropping out of the top four this weekend if they lose to the Eagles by a significant margin at Domain Stadium and fifth-placed Richmond beat Fremantle at the MCG.
Richards' teammate Luke Parker chose to contest a lower-range charge of rough conduct against Hawks defender Grant Birchall and was found guilty by the AFL tribunal on Tuesday evening. Parker was cited after he lashed out at Birchall with his left foot in mid-air while taking possession of the ball.
Parker argued he was trying to maintain his balance with the kung-fu style movement, but the tribunal disagreed, with his fine increased from $1000 to $1500.
All other players booked during round 16 submitted early guilty pleas.
St Kilda's Josh Bruce - who is in fifth spot in the Coleman Medal race after a breakout season - accepted a $1000 fine for striking Richmond defender Dylan Grimes.
Gold Coast key-position player Tom Lynch, GWS midfielder Stephen Coniglio, Essendon forward Paddy Ambrose and Port Adelaide defender Jackson Trengove were also docked $1000 apiece for various offences.
Essendon duo Michael Hibberd and Michael Hurley, North Melbourne's Taylor Garner and Shaun Atley, Fremantle forward Hayden Ballantyne and Carlton youngster Dylan Buckley were fined for wrestling and melee offences.
