Breaking Bad actor RJ Mitte has revealed the souvenir he took from the set of the Emmy-winning drama after it wrapped up.

"I have my crutches," Mitte, who starred as Walter Flynn White Jr on the series, told the New York Post while attending the Desigual show at New York Fashion Week on Thursday.

The actor's character had cerebral palsy, which Mitte also has, though he doesn't need crutches to walk.

Mitte said he was glad the show ended the way it did.

"I'm just happy we had an ending," he said.

"That's all we can hope for."

Breaking Bad starred Bryan Cranston as drug dealer Walter White. The last episode of the series aired in October 2013.

The finale of the cult TV show drew an audience of 10.3 million viewers in the US.

Just last month it struck gold at the Emmys, winning top drama and a trio of acting honours, including best actor in a drama to Cranston.
