Roar's Franjic going from strength to strength

Four years ago, Ivan Franjic was playing football part-time in the Victorian Premier League and working during the day as a carpenter.

Since then, he has carved out a niche for himself as a mainstay of two title-winning teams with the Brisbane Roar.  

And his performances haven't gone unnoticed by his former coach at Brisbane,  Socceroos boss Ange Postecoglou, who included him in last month’s win against Costa Rica.

It seems the world, and even the World Cup, could be on the horizon for a late bloomer whose story will give hope to every aspiring football player.
