Cookware retailer Robins Kitchen has been placed into voluntary administration, leaving the future for its 300 workers uncertain.
The group's Brisbane-based parent company Lineville has appointed FTI Consulting as voluntary administrators.
Robins Kitchen employs approximately 300 people at 36 stores in Queensland, 18 in NSW and one in the ACT.
"We acknowledge that the timing of voluntary administration so close to Christmas is going to create additional uncertainty for employees and customers, which is difficult and unfortunate for all," FTI's senior managing director John Park said in a statement on Tuesday.
"It is our intention to work with all parties in an effort to minimise this impact where possible."
FTI is reviewing the financial status of the business, and is yet to decide whether to restructure and sell the business or wind it down.
All stores are expected to remain open until at least Christmas Eve.
