Robson Holds Up Surrey

Australian opener Gus Robson provided much-needed composure with another high score for Surrey in England's County Championship.

Australian opener Gus Robson stalled Surrey's bid for a second successive victory in English County Championship on day three of their Division Two clash with Leicestershire.

The 22-year-old followed up his 75 in Leicestershire's first-innings 271 with an equally assured 81, which came off 132 balls and included nine fours.

The visitors ended the day 141 for two at The Oval after they were forced to follow on 251 behind.

Robson provided much-needed composure in alliance with fellow opener Matthew Boyce, who contributed 24, and Ned Eckersley, who hit an unbeaten 28 against a Surrey attack missing Jade Dernbach, who went off with a pulled hamstring.
