A group of Australian librarians have swapped bookmarks for Freddie Mercury in a catchy cover of “Bohemian Rhapsody” that has won over online audiences.

Titled Librarian Rhapsody, the staff and volunteers of Shoalhaven Libraries sing the praises – literally – of their workplace.
The clip posted on Monday has already garnered more than 71,000 views and comments from around the world.

Award winning crime author Michael Robotham was among those praising the clip.

“You gotta love your local library,” he said.

“Use 'em or lose 'em folks. Well done to all involved.”

Shoalhaven Libraries have said another parody is “in the pipeline”.
