Roos out to cement hold on Good Friday

North Melbourne are looking to strengthen their hold on Good Friday football and score their first win of the AFL season when they take on St Kilda.

North Melbourne coach Brad Scott is calling on Kangaroos supporters to turn up in force at Etihad Stadium on Good Friday as the club looks to cement its hold on the high-profile fixture.

The Roos take on St Kilda on Good Friday this season after the Western Bulldogs were dumped after they won the first-ever AFL encounter played on the religious holiday last year.

"It's a massive occasion for our club. We fought for decades to play this game ... it's huge and we want North Melbourne people to really get behind this game," Scott said on Wednesday.
