Mitchell Starc insists there is no lingering disunity, unease or awkwardness about Steve Smith and David Warner's return, declaring "it's all rosy".
In what will be a month of firsts for Smith and Warner, Thursday's arrival into Brisbane airport for a World Cup training camp wasn't the most significant or challenging.
But it gave Australia's 15-man squad an insight into what life will be like in England during coming weeks, when local fans and media are set to follow the disgraced duo's every step with great interest.
"It's onwards, upwards and focused on the World Cup ... it's all rosy," Starc smiled.
Starc's words came as photographers lapped up the sight of Warner in a Cricket Australia polo for the first time since he served a year-long ban.
Starc was one of the Australian bowlers left deeply disappointed and disenchanted by Smith and Warner's roles in the Cape Town cheating scandal.
Smith arrived separately, having spent a further day on the subcontinent to play another Indian Premier League (IPL) game.
It's believed Smith and Warner want to stay publicly mute as Australia prepare to fly out for the World Cup.
The former captain and vice-captain will hit the nets on Friday before playing three warm-up games against New Zealand at Allan Border Field.
Starc has been impressed with Warner and Smith's IPL form.
"He (Warner) has been on fire over there, along with Steve, so that's great for him and great for the group," the left-armer said.
"He's a world-class player and we're excited to have him back."
The spectre of the sandpaper scandal looms large for many pundits and fans but Starc, who won the 2015 World Cup alongside Smith and Warner, insists that isn't the case within the squad.
Smith and Warner mingled with members of the ODI squad in Dubai en route to the IPL in March, their first taste of the new team culture under coach Justin Langer.
Starc was involved in a similar meeting that took place in Sydney and was also part of Smith and Warner's formal reintegration.
"We've all had our meetings and moved on," Starc said.
"The meeting I was involved in with ... 95 per cent wasn't about Dave and Steve and the group.
"It was more about where the team was going."
Starc has recovered from the pectoral injury that kept him on the sidelines since the start of February.
Fellow squad member Jhye Richardson will be racing the clock as he bids to return from a dislocated shoulder and take part in Australia's World Cup defence, which starts against Afghanistan on June 1.
